Frits Linnemann
Frits Linnemann (Rotterdam, 1 July 1946 – 30 October 2011) was a Dutch artist, working as a graphic artist, painter, watercolourist, draughtsman, penciller, pastellist, etcher, lithographer and engraver. He served for many years as president of the Professional Association of Visual Artists and was active since the 1960s as guitarist and singer of the Endatteme Jugband (later Endatteme because the jugband character disappeared from the music).

Linnemann was born and raised in Rotterdam and studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam, and at the Free Academy in The Hague. After completing his studies, he established himself as a visual artist in Rotterdam in 1969.
1985-1996, he was chairman of the Dutch Union of Visual Artists, BBK, Linnemann’s BBK board time was marked by the termination of the ‘Beeldende Kunstenaars Regeling’ and the development of new infrastructure for visual arts.
